Play was our first prayer

By Adrian Williamson

Play was our first prayer

Sent to us to digest thoughts of love

Like braille on skin

Peeling forth and back

Experiential veneer

And peering here

Beyond curated identity

That metallic mysticism of modernity

That masks our entity

For behind the veil of this and that

We are an information ritual, habitual

Pulling people through portals

As immortals

Speaking

I love you

To no one

With no one

Just to feel what it sounds like

Just to remember that we do

Love you too
